I Can Only Hope.
I can only hope that he comes to class more regularly because when he comes he does well. I can only hope that his parents get their act together so that he doesn’t have to deal with the fallout from their stormy relationship. I can only hope he can deal with the prejudice he encounters on a daily basis. I can only hope that he can deal with not having the cool things his peers do. I can only hope that he can cope with not having money to spend. I can only hope that more people have compassion for him. I can only hope that he can find refuge in my class so that he feels safe and comfortable. I can only hope.
