My students, who struggle with reading, especially enjoy Venn Diagrams. Comparing and contrasting is a difficult skill for many students, and Venn Diagrams make it less arduous. Venn Diagrams produce clearer differences between subjects. The Burger Diagram is especially helpful for pre-writing before writing a persuasive essay. When constructing a persuasive essay, students must have more than one reason to support their opinions. By using the Burger Diagram, students can visualize their ideas and make sure their information is appropriate to the topic.
